Southern Highlands has a relatively new cool-climate wine region. Award winning producers of a range of varieties including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Home to over 60 vineyards nestled happily into the rolling hills and offering no less than 20 cellar doors that vary from modern to French provincial in style. The warm country welcome is irresistible and there is good food to accompany the wine tasting.
Some wineries offer cooking classes, different tasting experiences, master classes and some have a selection of antiques to buy.
